Diana Ganz is an award-winning Chief Executive Officer and entrepreneur who co-founded The Groomsman Suit in 2016. TGS is the first e-commerce company offering stylish, high-quality suits and tuxedos men can own for less than the cost of a rental. The core line is available to own in seven colors across 140 jacket and pants sizes that are sold as separates for just $194.
Since launching the company out of a New York City apartment in 2016, TGS generated $2.5 million in sales in 2018, is projecting more than $8 million in sales in 2019, and is now headquartered is a 2,200 square foot office space that doubles as a showroom in Chicago.
TGS was co-founded by Diana and lifelong friend Jeanne Foley after Jeanne’s personal experience planning her own wedding. With no other options to affordably outfit their groomsmen in tuxedos, she and her husband were forced to go the rental route only to be disappointed by the logistics, poor fit, and price.
Jeanne – about to give birth and launch TGS simultaneously – believed the business model would fill a void in the market and planned to test the potential by launching a Kickstarter campaign. After sharing the idea with her best friend Diana – an accomplished CEO with a strong understanding of business strategy and growth – the two realized that together they could take the business to much larger heights. Jeanne’s fashion industry experience combined with Diana’s business background has proven to be a perfect fit.
Prior to TGS, Diana served as Chief Executive Officer for two different Boston based companies. In 2015, she was recognized a top executive by winning the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 award.
Diana her degree in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan and graduated with an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to MIT Sloan, Diana served as Executive Director of the Melrose Massachusetts YMCA where she managed the $5 million operation and 200 employees. She currently resides in Chicago.
