The Retail Innovation Conference & Expo was designed to create a dynamic, yet curated, experience where executives can learn about the latest trends and tech in connected commerce.
While the Retail Innovation Conference & Expo is our banner brand, the content is broken down into three micro-conferences, the Retail Innovation Summit, IRCE and Design:Retail Conferences, with agendas hyper-focused on the needs and goals of different teams and functions.
The event will take place May 10-12, 2022, at the McCormick Place in Chicago. May 10 will include fun pre-conference events, including workshops, store tours and networking receptions, but the main days of the expo and conference programming will be on May 11 and 12. All speakers are encouraged to enjoy the entirety of the event!
We are in ongoing communication with our operations team as well as McCormick Place to ensure we are up to date on the latest safety and security procedures.
Should we decide to cancel or postpone the in-person event, our team will be in touch with updates and plans for a virtual adaptation. Our business started as a digital media company, and we have a history of great virtual events and experiences under our belts. We are confident that if we need to pivot, we will do so with grace.
We will have workshops on May 10, while May 11 and 12 will have a hybrid of keynotes, standalone presentations and panel discussions. Our agenda is broken down into three curated event experiences for business executives and omnichannel brands (Retail Innovation Summit), digital teams and DTC players (Internet Retailer) and store designers and visual merchandisers (design:retail).

We’ve developed the Retail Innovation Conference & Expo agenda and experience to reflect the needs of modern retail teams. We encourage different teams and functions to attend together and even venture into their own dedicated event tracks. That way, you can truly maximize your time and investment.

That means you’ll get access to all micro-events (Retail Innovation Summit, Internet Retailer, design:retail) as well as our expo floor. We will offer “first dibs” on access to exclusive networking events as well as extend access to our meeting/mentorship program to all qualifying executives.
Immediately after the event, we will send our post-event survey to all attendees to get feedback on the sessions and experience. We will share any relevant feedback with our speakers.
We also will share event takeaways, analysis and even relevant session content on the Retail Innovation Conference & Expo site. Of course, we also want to continue to promote the event and its incredible content through the Retail Innovation Conference & Expo site, as well as our media platform, Retail TouchPoints.
