To create a successful event, there must be successful internal cross-functional collaboration. From operations to marketing, sales, content and production, every department must be aligned and in close communication to produce a seamless event experience for attendees.
Within the Retail Innovation Conference & Expo, our team understands how important it truly is to be effective communicators both internally across departments and externally with our partners and attendees. Specifically, the sales team knows what it takes to build purposeful relationships with our sponsorship and exhibitor community, and ways to create brand-building, lead-generating opportunities that also create value for our audience. That’s why we want you to get to know our colleagues who work hard to bring the most innovative solution providers in retail to the event.

Retail Innovation Conference & Expo (RICE): Who are you and what is your current role?
My name is Matthew Singer and I am the Senior Director of Sales for Retail TouchPoints and the Retail Innovation Conference & Expo. I am responsible for developing relationships with key solution providers who are interested in growing their businesses via the many channels that we offer.
RICE: What do you love most about what you do?
I love working in sales because there are no limits in sales; it is an area of our business that offers countless choices and opportunities. The only limits in sales are self-imposed.
RICE: What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I love spending my free time with my wife of 17 years, my 14-year-old son and my 8-year-old daughter. When I have some “me” time, I love watching sports, especially the Miami Hurricanes and seeing live music.
RICE: What’s the last TV show you binged or book you read?
The last TV show I binged was “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” but I am always watching something!
RICE: What brand/retailer are you most loyal to?
I don’t shop often but when I do it’s Amazon. It’s too easy!
