Designers, Spotlight Your Holiday Creations! Winning Windows Nominations Are Open

Ah, the holiday season. It’s truly a magical time. And store designers are arguably the magicians crafting incredible store experiences as shoppers hustle and bustle through the streets and malls.

As consumers work to check off their holiday shopping lists, department stores, specialty retailers and luxury brands alike will embrace powerful storytelling and visual merchandising techniques to display their holiday spirit. Retail TouchPoints will celebrate the creative professionals who create this magic with the annual design:retail Winning Windows awards program. Brands and retailers in New York City and worldwide are encouraged to share their projects, displayed in store windows and beyond, by completing the nomination form by November 21. (If you’re looking for some incredible inspiration, check out last year’s Winning Windows winners here.)

A panel of judges will take to the streets of New York City to visit store windows in the heart of the retail and fashion industry. They also will judge any national and even global submissions virtually to expand the overall reach of the awards. While historically only New York City-area windows were eligible for the awards, we will be expanding the purview of the awards indefinitely to encourage all designers and storytellers to submit their work.

Windows will be evaluated based on three key criteria:

  • Originality and creativity;
  • Spirit of the season; and
  • Professionalism, including execution and technical aspects.

The awards will be announced at the PAVE Gala on December 8, 2022, in New York City, as well as on RetailTouchPoints.com. One executive from each winning company will be invited to join members of the Retail TouchPoints team at the Gala to accept their award in person. So, design teams, this is your time in the spotlight! Share your holiday windows today!
